Electrification starts with planning - and we had the opportunity to take charge of that for the public transportation company. We were able to convince them with our in-depth expertise and our commitment to fully considering the specific circumstances of the customers.
A fossil-free bus fleet
The first step to successful electrification — away from fossil fuels and towards electrically powered busses — is good planning. And that's where we had the opportunity to assist the Basler Verkehrsbetriebe.
Charging adapted to routes
In a comprehensive study, we examined not only the technical and operational requirements, but also the economic consequences of converting to the new system for the Basler Verkehrsbetriebe. Along with completing detailed analyses of the bus routes, scheduling requirements and the future energy and power needs of the electric bus fleet, specific hardware and software recommendations were agreed upon and the associated costs calculated.
"The Mobility House team won us over with their extensive expertise, practical experience and their willingness to take our customer’s specific circumstances and issues into account to the greatest extent possible. Many thanks for accompanying us on our path to an electric future!"
Pascal Lippmann,
Program Director ad interim, Basler Verkehrsbetriebe [Basel Public Transport]
Sustainable charging infrastructure
- Transparent: The technical feasibility and the resulting economic consequences were objectively evaluated.
- Neutral: We offer manufacturer-independent recommendations for hardware and software components.
- Comprehensive: Precise information about construction measures, number of vehicles, and capacity of the grid connection ensure that the charging infrastructure can be operated safely.
- Future-oriented: Smart charging management systems are taken into account when considering the charging infrastructure and making recommendations for the required operational modifications.
