RheinEnergie becomes a strategic investor in The Mobility House – a new alliance for the future of energy

The energy service provider RheinEnergie from Cologne invests in The Mobility House and benefits from the long-standing pioneering work in using electric cars as grid storage.
As part of this strategic partnership, RheinEnergie will expand its offering in particular in the energy supply for households and electromobility in the future.
This investment and partnership significantly contribute to the coupling of the energy and mobility sectors, thus making an important contribution to the transformation of the energy world.

The collaboration between RheinEnergie and the market leader in Vehicle-Grid-Integration, The Mobility House, brings the energy and mobility sectors closer together. RheinEnergie, the nationally active energy provider based in Cologne and the Rhineland region, aims to ensure sustainable supply by 2035. This new partnership supports this goal through the intelligent integration of vehicle batteries into the grid. The potential that opens up for RheinEnergie through cooperating with The Mobility House will also be demonstrated in the future through a special offer for electric vehicles.

New electricity tariff for electric cars and home: Charge smart, save money

This year, RheinEnergie will offer an electricity tariff for the private sector that can reduce charging costs by a three-digit amount annually. The Mobility House provides the technological components, while RheinEnergie remains the trusted energy supplier and direct contractual partner.

The Mobility House and GESI Giga Batteries commercialize large-scale energy storages for the energy transition in a joint venture

The Mobility House and Green Energy Storage Initiative SE establish a joint venture for the realization, commercialization, and financing of battery energy storage systems (BESS) in Germany.
The commercialization is based on the eight years of experience and continuous development of algorithms of The Mobility House.
By 2035, up to 8 GW of storage capacity will be constructed together. The first site will have 750 MW of storage capacity in two expansion stages.

Sustainable power: Mercedes-Benz Group, GETEC ENERGIE and The Mobility House extend the lifecycle of vehicle batteries once again

The large-scale storage systems of the Joint Venture between Mercedes-Benz Group, GETEC ENERGIE and The Mobility House are approved for another five years for primary control reserve.
The repurposed electric vehicle batteries continue to make their full contribution to stabilizing the European power grid with 29 MW of power and 31 MWh of storage capacity.
The basis for the efficient dual use and long lifespan of the batteries also includes the intelligent trading algorithms of The Mobility House as well as the technical concept of Mercedes-Benz Energy.

Jacobs Group relies on The Mobility House for e-mobility

The Jacobs Group, one of the largest trade groups in the automotive industry, is collaborating with The Mobility House to expand charging infrastructure.
At nine locations of the dealership, the charging and energy expert takes care of electrification – from planning and implementation to ongoing operation.
