RheinEnergie becomes a strategic investor in The Mobility House – a new alliance for the future of energy

  • The energy service provider RheinEnergie from Cologne invests in The Mobility House and benefits from the long-standing pioneering work in using electric cars as grid storage. 
  • As part of this strategic partnership, RheinEnergie will expand its offering in particular in the energy supply for households and electromobility in the future. 
  • This investment and partnership significantly contribute to the coupling of the energy and mobility sectors, thus making an important contribution to the transformation of the energy world. 

The collaboration between RheinEnergie and the market leader in Vehicle-Grid-Integration, The Mobility House, brings the energy and mobility sectors closer together. RheinEnergie, the nationally active energy provider based in Cologne and the Rhineland region, aims to ensure sustainable supply by 2035. This new partnership supports this goal through the intelligent integration of vehicle batteries into the grid. The potential that opens up for RheinEnergie through cooperating with The Mobility House will also be demonstrated in the future through a special offer for electric vehicles.

New electricity tariff for electric cars and home: Charge smart, save money

This year, RheinEnergie will offer an electricity tariff for the private sector that can reduce charging costs by a three-digit amount annually. The Mobility House provides the technological components, while RheinEnergie remains the trusted energy supplier and direct contractual partner.
